Kvevri, trockener Amber Wein (Weißwein) 2021

Rebsorte - Kisi

According to achaeological evidence the winemaking is Georgia strechtes back over 8,000 years of history. That's why it's frequently called the Cardle of Wine. Georgian traditional whinemaking process involves pressing endemic grape varieties and then pouring the juice, grape skins, stalks and pips into the Kvevri (egg-shaped earthenware vessel), which is sealed and burried in the ground so that the wine can ferment for five to six months.

Amber dry wine "Kisi" is made and aged in Kvevri, using the traditional method of Geeorgian winemaking, in the village of Dzhio, Kakheti region. The wine is produced from the highest quality Kisi grape, prominent by the unique aromas of forest nuts, dried apricots and spices. A tannin-rich body is in harmonious tandem with its long aftertaste. Kisi goes best with cheese, steak and baked dough dishes.
